A few weeks ago, Pete Holmes the comedian performed in Seattle and got t meet Pete Holmes the local City Attorney.  The lesser known Pete Holmes even wrote a good natured post about it for The Stranger.

Pretty cool, but not as rare as you might think.  If you Google News search your favorite comedian, you're likely to stumble across any number of little league, city council, legal and other stories about their dopplenamers (I mean, unless you're googling Kumail Nanjiani).

So, here for your enjoyment are some of those folks I've stumbled across here and there.

The Jeffreys Ross

The Jeffreys Ross

There are actually a TON of "other" Jeff Rosses who pop up in my Google alert on a regular basis, but my favorite is this Boston City Council hopefull.

The two Brodys

Brody Stevens, the purveyor of Positivity, beloved cult comedian and audience warm-up champion shares the same name as a youth hockey player in Michigan.

Both Ians like soccer

Somewhat fittingly for the host of a soccer podcast, Ian Edwards shares his name with a former footballer and sportswriter.

Mark Ellis and Mark Ellis

And finally, comedian Mark Ellis has the distinct disadvantage of being less  famous than his same name counterpart, the Dodgers second baseman.
