Today at noon, the LA Podcast Festival kicks off Day Two - the day most packed with podcasts, panels and stand-up of the festival. Here's what you need to know to make the most of it:
- Noon, you say? Yes, noon. It's starting at the crack of noon, but they've got Joey McIntyre on Comedy Film Nerds to lure you out of bed.
- Follow someone with a lanyard when you first arrive. Registration is on the mezzanine level, which also masquerades as Floor 1 on the elevator display. And the podcast you want to see is... Somewhere. There's no signage until after you manage to find registration, room names give no clues to their locations and the verbal directions the volunteers give you leave much to be desired.
- The 6 pm hour is unfair. Between the hosts and the guests, If you don't want to see every podcast that's happening at 6 pm, I don't know why you paid money to come to this festival. Seriously, if those five podcasts were the only thing happening all day, it'd be worth the price of admission.
- Doug Loves Movies will be packed. The Squarespace Ballroom is big, but get there early to be sure you have a seat.
Saturday day passes are available online and on-site.
