This week I'm focused on (mostly) smaller, independent rooms. Yeah, you know you can hit up the Big Three for laughs any night, but did you know you can go catch some AMAZING comedians performing in all kinds of bars, lounges, coffee shops.. even the Cemetery?

Wednesday, Nov 17 - Comedy in a comic shop? Is this some kind of play on words? No, it's the awesome show at Meltdown Comics. This week, the lineup includes David Koechner, TJ Miller and Nick Thune. 8:30 pm. 7522 Sunset. $8.
Thursday, Nov 18 - Ok, sorry, love affair with La Jolla continues. Comedy Store La Jolla hosts An Evening with Roddy Piper, which is a fantastic night of funny storytelling with stand-up from Steve Simeone, Bob Hansen and Mike Vinn. 7 pm. $20 Tickets online
Friday, Nov 19 - Laughing Stock at The Palms Bar. Shows at 7:30 and 9:30, featuring some very funny folks like Sarah Taylor, Josh Adam Meyers, Tammy Jo Dearen and Tracie Walker. 8572 Santa Monica Blvd.
Sorry small rooms, Saturday night, The Comedy Store has shows in both the Main Room and the Original Room. Impossible for me to resist.
