I've got a bit of a love-hate thing going on with the Improv. It's got its own dysfunctional issues like any Comedy venue, but is actually a pretty tight ship. "Professional" and "Corporate" are words people often use to describe it. The upside is that they book a lot of great talent. The downside is that it lacks that crazy, free-for-all vibe I love at Sal's or the Comedy Store. I'm also not a big fan of the seating arrangement - there are some fantastic seats and some really awkward ones. But this is probably the place you want to bring your family and friends to when they are visiting from out of town so they can go home and say "Oh my god, do you know who we saw?"
